SEQUENCE OF EVENTS

• 0220 to 0234 - CG uses speeds up to 30 knots in attempt to regain station - falls 6Kyds astern

• 0224 - CG CO departs bridge for CIC to check on EMI testing and loss of comms

• 0234 - CVN comes to all back two thirds; CG orders speed reductions down to 5 knots as distance closes

• 0242 - CVN comes to all ahead standard
