Allied Engagement

The Submarine Force maintains a robust program of forward engagement and combined exercises with friends, allies, and those nations we want to cultivate as friends and allies. The largest combined exercise conducted in 1998 was RIMPAC ’98, in which six countries and 12 submarines participated. The world map below highlights those countries that the Submarine Force had interactions with in 1998.
