Eland MK7
The Eland armoured car is combat proven in both the conventional and counter insurgency spheres of warfare. The Eland MK7 Diesel Turbo (DT) is derived from the Panhard model 61 AML and has been extensively modified (e.g. diesel conversion) by Reumech OMC for use in the very harsh African environment. A wide range of weapons and ammunition types enable commanders to exploit the vehicle's capabilities to the full in a variety of tactical tasks, be it armoured reconnaissance or in urban riot situations.The Eland MK 7 DT is equipped with a four cylinder water cooled turbo charged diesel engine, a production commercial product requiring a minimum of logistic back up. The permanent 4x4 drive gives it exceptional mobility. It can carry either a 90 mm quick firing low pressure gun, or a 60 mm breech loading mortar as main weapons. Night vision equipment provides effective night time operations, and it is provided with an excellent telecommunications system.
