The M90 Grenade is a soft launched, nonfragmenting, pyrotechnic smoke dispenser. It is compatible with presently fielded 66 mm smoke grenade launchers. A salvo of four grenades conceals the host vehicle by producing an obscurant screen between the threat weapon and the host vehicle.
Background/Status:
The M90 Grenade was Type Classified Standard in August 1997 and production began in FY98.
