ASAS
Responsibility for the All Source Analysis System (ASAS) product falls under Project Manager Intel Fusion/Program Manager ASAS. The ASAS provides all sources intelligence fusion of threat data to commanders and staff and is one of the ATCCS components. This product is used to gain a timely and comprehensive understanding of enemy deployments, capabilities, and potential courses of action. It provides the Army a seamless intelligence fusion architecture from Echelons Above Corps down to Battalion S2 workstations. The ASAS product includes the following functions:
- Communications: Encrypted interfaces with ASAS-AS ATCCS BFA theater system MSE, ETUT, SSP-S, RAPIDE, TACSIM, MCS interfaces. Automatic message parsing message fill and routing.
- Maps and Graphics: Standard DMA products including ADRG, WVS, DFAD, and DTED. Enhanced Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) tools. Graphical chat between hosts.
- Situation Display: Display of friendly and enemy databases. Overlay creation, display, printing, unit plotting, and transmission to other systems.
- Imagery: Receives, displays, annotates NITF imagery.
- Situation/event planning: Creates and modifies areas of interest, no go/slow go areas, avenues of approach, mobility corridors and key terrain. Event planning includes named areas of interest, time-phaselines, and event matrix reports
- Target planning: Creates maintains target databases.
