Impact To First Level Interface Requirements Versus
Conventional Design (+ = Good, - = Bad, 0 = No Impact)
- Typical Provisions Required
- Bleed Flow
- Volume For Bleed & Nozzle Ducts
- Structural Provision for Nozzle
- Effort Required To Put On An Existing Vehicle
- Structural Changes Around Engine and Nozzle
- Engine Modification To Provide Bleed Flow
- Possible Impact On Other Bleed Driven Systems
Vehicle Integration: Interface Requirements
Notes:
For a conformal fluidic nozzle in a new vehicle, special attention is required to assess the bleed flow, nozzle ducting and the structural provisions for integration. Depending on the aspect ratio of the nozzle, structural changes around the engine and nozzle, engine modification to provide bleed flow and impacts on other bleed driven systems must be assessed to integrate this technology on an existing vehicle.
