For a compact inlet, provisions are required to integrate it into a new vehicle. It must be compatible with the internal arrangement and appropriate with the structural arrangement. For existing aircraft, there would be major changes needed for integration. These changes are dependent on the external shape, internal arrangement and the supporting structure of the vehicle.
