Given leading and trailing-edge angle constraints imposed by RCS design, a lambda wing planform increases aspect ratio and improves aerodynamic efficiency over a trapezoidal planform. The planform also increases design flexibility to a tailed airplane in terms of wing location. The broken trailing edge on the lambda planform degrades structural efficiency and increases wing weight.
