Notes:
- Without signaling finex of the zig-zag pattern and IAW CVN green sheet, the CVN OOD approved commencement of engineering drills which included maneuvering transits ranging from all ahead flank to all back full. As these maneuvering events occurred, the CVN Combat Systems Department began an internal electronics load shift in preparation for engineering drills scheduled to commence at 0700. The electronics load shift took down communications over primary maneuvering circuit, second fleet secure, as well as primary navigation radars aboard the CVN.
- The CG had only one signalman on watch which caused excessive delays in receiving flashing light from the CVN.
