Notes:
Refit, SRA, ROH, yard period, availability.....lots of different ways to name the post-deployment “refit” period.
- Execute your CART I plan for schools and team trainers.
- Execute the plan laid out on deployment for conducting Pre-Light Off Training (PLOT) with a ATG.
- In addition to PLOT request Limited Team Trainers (LTT’s) for areas you view as weakest
- Continue Light-Off Assessment (LOA) preps.
- Logistics, Admin, Training Review (LATR) on the west coast replaces the old admin week of the old CART IIA /B. CART II on the west coast is now one week long. LATR can be sked and/or conducted at any time during the Basic Phase and is not tied to CART II. LATR is most commonly sked to the ships benefit prior to CART II and in some cases during the refit period.
-One of the most difficult tasks facing commands during their availabilities is to maintain the training and cohesiveness of the shipboard training teams. How creative can you be to keep up the shipboard training teams? That is the challenge.
