   1.  MISSION.  TO PROVIDE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATIVE SUPPORT TO
   CORPS.

   2.  ASSIGNMENT.  TO A HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS
   DETACHMENT, MILITARY POLICE DETACHMENT (CID) CORPS SUPPORT
   ELEMENT (CSE), TOE 19486L000.

   3.  CAPABILITIES.

       A.  AT LEVEL 1, THIS UNIT PROVIDES:

           (1)  EIGHT CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION TEAMS TO:

               (A)  CONDUCT LOGISTICS SECURITY (LOGSEC)
   OPERATIONS TO DETECT AND PREVENT THE DIVERSION AND/OR
   DESTRUCTION OF CRITICAL SUPPLIES.

               (B)  CONDUCT THE COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF
   CRIMINAL INTELLIGENCE TO NEUTRALIZE CRIMINAL AND TERRORIST
   ACTIVITY.

               (C)  PROVIDE LAW AND ORDER INVESTIGATIVE
   SUPPORT.

               (D)  PROVIDE PROTECTIVE SERVICES.

               (E)  CONDUCT COUNTER DRUG OPERATIONS AS
   AUTHORIZED BY FEDERAL LAW AND IN ACCORDANCE WITH DEPARTMENT
   OF DEFENSE AND DEPARTMENT OF ARMY POLICY.

           (2)  ONE LIGHT WHEELED VEHICLE MECHANIC TO
   SUPPORTING UNIT TO ASSIST IN UNIT MAINTENANCE OF ORGANIC
   EQUIPMENT.

       B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE
   FOR REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10%,
   FROM APPROXIMATELY 90% FOR LEVEL 2 TO APPROXIMATELY 80% FOR
   LEVEL 3.

       C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION

       D.  THE COLUMNS DESIGNATED BY LEVELS 1 THROUGH 3 ARE
   DESIGNED TO RELATE TO THE CATEGORIES ESTABLISHED BY AR
   220-1, UNIT STATUS REPORTING.

       E.  INDIVIDUALS OF THIS ORGANIZATION CAN ASSIST IN THE
   COORDINATED DEFENSE OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

       F.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT ON:

           (1)  APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF THE CORPS FOR
   RELIGIOUS, LEGAL, HEALTH SERVICE SUPPORT, FINANCE,
   PHOTOGRAPHIC, AND UNIT MAINTENANCE OF ORGANIC EQUIPMENT,
   PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES AND SUPPLY
   SPECIALIST/ARMORER SUPPORT.

           (2)  THE HHD, MILITARY POLICE DETACHMENT (CID),
   CORPS SUPPORT ELEMENT (CSE), TOE 19486L000, FOR POLYGRAPH
   SUPPORT.

           (3)  MILITARY POLICE COMPANY (COMBAT SUPPORT), TOE
   19477L000 FOR FOOD SERVICE SUPPORT.

           (4)  THE U.S. ARMY CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION LABORATOR
   FOR LABORATORY SUPPORT.

   4.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  ONE PER CORPS AREA SUPPORT GROUP.

   5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY II UNIT.

   6.  MOBILITY.

       A.  THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 14,000 POUNDS
   (845.0 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE EQUIPMENT WITH ORGANIC VEHICLES.

       B.  THIS UNIT HAS 4,754 POUNDS (288.1 CUBIC FEET) OF TO
   EQUIPMENT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION.

       C.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 75 PERCENT OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT
   AND SUPPLIES TO BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING ITS

         b.  Purpose and authority for the preparation and revisions
of Table(s) of Organization and Equipment (TOE).

            (1)  This TOE has been reviewed and updated as part of a
cyclic review process.  Changes were made to remove modernization
items of equipment, update basis of issue plans, apply approved
manpower authorization requirements criteria, document operational
facility requirements rules and correct administrative errows.

            (2)  This verson of the TOE has been prepared in
accordance with the provisions of current development requlations and
guidance.

            (3)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE
have been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in AR
220-1, Unit Status Reporting.  They also have been reviewed to ensure
they are alligned to the paragraph level of detail.

            (4)  The unit MARC Code is 22A.  This is a combat support
unit that operates in the CORPS area.  It is considered a four base
unit and will move every 8 to 17 days.

        2.  MISSION.  The mission of this unit is to provide criminal
investigation support to CORPS.

        3.  ASSIGNMENT.  To a headquarters and headquarter
detachment, military police detachment (CID) CORPS support element
(CSE), TOE 19486L000.

        4.  EMPLOYMENT.  Due to austere resources conforming to the
Army design initiatives, employment of this unit must be on a highly
selective basis.  The element consists of eight investigative teams,
each capable of performing the full array of CID support within the
CORPS area.  These teams are fully mobile and can act independently
while performing investigative services throughout the CORPS.

        5.  METHODS OF OPERATIONS AND FUNCTIONS.

GENERAL REMARK:  Personnel requirements listed in this paragraph may
or may not be covered by criteria and measurable manpower
authorization standards cantained in AR 570-2, automated analysis
related to 570-2, and AR 71-13.  CID organizations are unique.  To
further explain tactical missions this organization is required to
perform, all personnel requirements are listed.
