   1.  MISSION.  TO PROVIDE HEAVY ANTIARMOR FIRE SUPPORT FOR
   THE RIFLE COMPANIES.

   (AIRBORNE), TOE 07035L000.

   3.  CAPABILITIES.

       A.  AT LEVEL 1, THIS UNIT:

           (1)  PROVIDES DEDICATED HEAVY ANTIARMOR
   FIRE SUPPORT TO THE BATTALION.

           (2)  MANEUVERS IN TERRAIN TRAFFICABLE TO WHEELED
   VEHICLES UNDER ALL CLIMATIC CONDITIONS.

           (3)  CAPITALIZES ON ALL FORMS OF MOBILITY.

           (4)  CONDUCTS COMBAT OPERATIONS UNDER LIMITED
   VISIBILITY CONDITIONS, EMPLOYING NIGHT VISION DEVICES AND
   SURVEILLANCE EQUIPMENT.

           (5)  CONDUCTS PARACHUTE OPERATIONS.

       B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE
   FOR REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10%,
   FROM APPROXIMATELY 90% FOR LEVEL 2, TO APPROXIMATELY 80%
   FOR LEVEL 3.

       C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION

       D.  THE COLUMNS DESIGNATED BY LEVELS 1 THROUGH 3 ARE
   DESIGNED TO RELATE TO THE CATEGORIES ESTABLISHED BY AR
   220-1, UNIT STATUS REPORTING.

       E.  INDIVIDUALS OF THIS ORGANIZATION CAN ENGAGE IN THE
   COORDINATED DEFENSE OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

       F.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT ON:

           (1)  APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF THE DIVISION OR CORPS
   FOR LEGAL, FINANCE, PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.

           (2)  THE HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS COMPANY, TOE
   07036L000, FOR RELIGIOUS AND UNIT LEVEL COMBAT HEALTH SUPPORT,
   UNIT LEVEL ADMINISTRATION, SUPPLY, FOOD SERVICE, UNIT
   UNIT MAINTENANCE, AND SUPPLEMENTAL TRANSPORTATION.

           (3)  THE QUARTERMASTER AIRDROP EQUIPMENT SUPPORT
   COMPANY, TOE 10337L000, FOR INSPECTION AND TECHNICAL
   ASSISTANCE IN PACKING, RIGGING, AND LOADING OF SUPPLIES AND
   EQUIPMENT FOR AIRDROP; AND THE INSPECTION AND PACKING OF
   PARACHUTES FOR AIRDROP OPERATIONS.

   4.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  ONE PER INFANTRY BATTALION, TOE
   07035L000.

   5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY I UNIT.

   6.  MOBILITY.

       A.  THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 46,000 POUNDS
   (2,168 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE EQUIPMENT WITH ORGANIC VEHICLES.

       B.  THIS UNIT HAS 26,830 POUNDS (2,273 CUBIC FEET) OF
   TOE EQUIPMENT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION.

       C.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 100 PERCENT OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT
   AND SUPPLIES TO BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING ITS

     b.  Purpose and authority for the preparation and revision of
this Tables of organization and equipment (TOE).

     (1)  This base TOE revises the current L-edition of the
Antiarmor Company, Infantry Battalion (Airborne), to apply concept
changes, update manpower requirements criteria, incorporate current
OPFAC rules, and modernize TOE equipment.

     (2)  This version of the TOE has been prepared in accordance
with the provisions of current TOE development regulations and
guidance.

     (3)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE have
been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in AR
220-1, Unit Status Reporting.  They also have been reviewed to
ensure they are aligned at the paragraph level of detail.

     (4) The unit MARC Code is 11A.  This is a combat unit which is
a subunit of an Infantry Battalion (Airborne) that operates within
an Airborne Division or separate Airborne Brigade.

2. EMPLOYMENT.

     a.  This company is normally employed under control of the
Infantry Battalion (Airborne). The company is organized with a
company headquarters and five antiarmor platoons, consisting of
two antiarmor sections each. The antiarmor section is comprised of
two vehicle mounted TOW launchers for a total of 30 launchers per
company or a combination of 20 .50 cal machine guns and 10 40mm
automatic grenade launchers. The company headquarters operates as a
tactical command and control; administrative support; and logistical
support headquarters.  The company headquarters command element will
be positioned for the most effective control of the company in the
combat area.

     b.  There are five antiarmor platoons in the antiarmor
company.  The antiarmor company platoons are normally employed
under the control of one person, usually the company commander,
within the battalion, who plans and directs antiarmor fires in
concert with the battalion commander's scheme of maneuver. The
antiarmor company operates in conjunction with infantry, armor, and
other elements of the combined arms team.


3.  METHODS OF OPERATIONS AND FUNCTIONS.

a.  PARAGRAPH 01, COMPANY HEADQUARTERS SECTION.

     (1)  Functions. The company headquarters provides the command,
control, administration, and logistical support required for unit
operations. The company commander is responsible for training,
maintenance, and tactical employment of the company.

b.   PARAGRAPH 02,  5 ANTIARMOR PLATOON HEADQUARTERS.

     (1)  The function of the antiarmor platoon headquarters is to
direct the training, maintenance and tactical employment of the
platoon. During combat, the headquarters will plan, coordinate and
integrate the platoon's fire to fit the company tactical plan. At
times, a platoon or a section may be attached to a rifle company.
