1.  MISSION.  TO DESTROY, NEUTRALIZE OR SUPPRESS THE ENEMY
WITH CANNON FIRE.

2.  ASSIGNMENT.  ORGANIC TO THE FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION
(105MM TOWED) (AIRBORNE), TOE 06205L000.

3.  CAPABILITIES.

    A.  AT LEVEL 1, THIS UNIT:

    (1) DELIVERS CONVENTIONAL CANNON FIRES.

    (2) PROVIDES ITS PORTION OF THE BATTALION COMMUNICATION
SYSTEM.

    (3) IS CAPABLE OF CONDUCTING LIMITED SPLIT BATTERY
OPERATIONS FOR PERIODS OF LESS THAN 24 HOURS.

    B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE FOR
REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10%, FROM
APPROXIMATELY 90% FOR LEVEL 2 TO APPROXIMATELY 80% FOR LEVEL
3.

    C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION.

    D.  THE COLUMNS DESIGNATED BY LEVELS 1 THROUGH 3 ARE
DESIGNED TO RELATE TO CATEGORIES ESTABLISHED IN AR 220-1, UNIT
STATUS REPORTING.

    E. INDIVIDUALS OF THIS ORGANIZATION CAN ASSIST IN THE
COORDINATED DEFENSE OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

    F.  THIS UNIT PERFORMS UNIT MAINTENANCE FOR ALL ORGANIC
EQUIPMENT EXCEPT VEHICLES, POWER GENERATION AND
COMMUNICATIONS-ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT.

    G.  PROVIDES ONE MECHANIC TO AUGMENT THE MAINTENANCE
CAPABILITY OF THE SUPPORTING UNITS.

    H.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT UPON:

    (1) HEADQUARTERS AND SERVICE BATTERY, TOE 06206L000, FOR:

    (A) UNIT AND SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE ON VEHICLE,
COMMUNICATIONS-ELECTRONICS AND POWER GENERATION EQUIPMENT.

    (B) UNIT ADMINISTRATION, COMBAT HEALTH SUPPORT,
FOOD SERVICE SUPPORT, SURVEY CONTROL AND VEHICLE RECOVERY.

    (2) HEADQUARTERS AND HEADQUARTERS BATTERY, TOE 06206L000,
FOR RELIGIOUS SUPPORT.

    (3) THE APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF THE DIVISION OR CORPS FOR
LEGAL, FINANCE AND PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.

4.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  THREE PER FIELD ARTILLERY BATTALION,
(105MM TOWED), TOE 06205L000.

5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY I UNIT. (FOR
UNIT CATEGORIES, SEE AR 71-13)

6.  MOBILITY.

    A.  THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 80,000 POUNDS
(3,107 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE EQUIPMENT WITH AUTHORIZED ORGANIC
VEHICLES.

    B.  THIS UNITS HAS 14,810 POUNDS (1,364 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE
EQUIPMENT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION.

    C.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 100% OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT AND
SUPPLIES TO BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING ITS

1.  GENERAL.


    a.  References.

    b.  Purpose and authority for the preparation and revisions of
Table(s) of Organization and Equipment (TOE).


        (1)  Cyclic review.  This TOE revises the current L-edition
of the Field Artillery Battery, 105MM Towed, Airborne Division. The
TOE is undergoing cyclic review to incorporate current
doctrinal concepts and techniques, and update the MARC driven
positions.


        (2)  This version of the TOE has been prepared in accordance
with the provisions of current TOE development regulations and
guidance.


        (3)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE have
been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in AR 220-1,
Unit Status Reporting.


        (4)  The unit MARC Code is 11A.  This is a combat unit that
operates in the division area and moves frequently (more often
than once a day).


2.  EMPLOYMENT.


    a.  The Field Artillery Battery operates as a tactical
unit.  The battery will be positioned for the most effective response
to suported maneuver units, commensurate with the terrain, combat
mission and responsiveness to the higher headquarters.


    b.  This unit is dependent on the headquarters and service
battery of the battalion for; unit maintenance of its communications-
electronics equipment, unit administration, combat health
services, food service support, survey control, and scheduled
and backup unit maintenance on; organic vehicles, power generation
equipment, and weapons systems.


    c.  This unit is dependent on the headquarters and service
battery of division artillery for religious services support.


3.  METHODS OF OPERATIONS AND FUNCTIONS.

for battery operations.
