1.  MISSION.  TO PROVIDE CONVENTIONAL FIELD ARTILLERY CANNON
FIRES IN DIRECT SUPPORT OF THE LIGHT INFANTRY DIVISION.

2.  ASSIGNMENT.  ORGANIC TO THE LIGHT INFANTRY DIVISION
ARTILLERY, TOE 06100L000.

3.  CAPABILITIES.

    A.  AT LEVEL I THIS UNIT PROVIDES:

    (1)  CONVENTIONAL FIELD ARTILLERY CANNON FIRE IN DIRECT
SUPPORT OF UNITS OF THE LIGHT INFANTRY DIVISION.

    (2)  FIRE SUPPORT ELEMENTS TO MANEUVER UNITS.

    (3)  TARGET LOCATIONS USING VISUAL MEANS AND MORTAR
LOCATING RADARS.

    B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TABLE FOR
REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10 PERCENT,
FROM APPROXIMATELY 90 PERCENT FOR LEVEL 2, TO 80 PERCENT FOR
LEVEL 3.

    C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO A TYPE B ORGANIZATION.

    D.  THE COLUMNS DESIGNATED BY LEVELS 1 THROUGH 3 ARE
DESIGNED TO RELATE TO THE CATEGORIES ESTABLISHED IN AR 220-1,
UNIT STATUS REPORTING.

    E.  INDIVIDUALS IN THIS ORGANIZATION, EXCEPT THE CHAPLAIN
AND MEDICAL PERSONNEL, CAN ASSIST IN THE COORDINATED DEFENSE
OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

    F.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT UPON:

    (1)  APPROPRIATE ELEMENT OF THE DIVISION OR CORPS FOR
RELIGIOUS, LEGAL, COMBAT HEALTH SUPPORT, FINANCE, AND
PERSONNEL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.

    (2)  THE DIVISION MEDICAL BATTALION (TOE 08455L000) FOR
MEDICAL EVACUATION.

4.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  THREE PER DIVISION ARTILLERY, LIGHT
INFANTRY DIVISION, TOE 06100L000.

5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY I UNIT. (FOR

6.  MOBILITY.

    A.  SEE THE INDIVIDUAL UNIT TOES FOR MOBILITY STATEMENTS.

    B.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 100 PERCENT OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT
AND SUPPLIES BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING ITS
