1. Operational information.

   a. Mission.  To provide Nuclear-Biological-Chemical
(NBC) staff support, operating NBC Warning and Reporting
System (NBCWRS), and monitoring the status of the command's
NBC defense procedures and chemical assets.  The team may
also be responsible for coordinating specific actions
dependent on the level of command.

   b. Assignment.  Team may be attached or assigned to
Headquarters of a Corps, Unified Command, or Army.

   c. Employment.  Augments an organic headquarters NBC
element or staff, with 12-hour NBC shift capability,
to enable 24-hour operations.

   d. Basis of Allocation. One per Corps HHC; One per
Unified Command; One per 3d Army HQ.

   e. Capabilities.

        (1) At Level 1 this unit provides the equivalent
of one shift (12 hours) NBC operations control capability.

        (2) This unit is not adaptable to a Type B
organization.

        (3) The column designated by Level 1 is designed
to be used to calculate the categories established by
AR 220-1, Unit Status Reporting.

        (4) The team is designated as a Category II and
Category III unit when employed.  For unit categories, see
AR 310-25.

        (5) Individuals of this team can assist in
coordinated defense of the team's area or installation.

        (6) This team is dependent on unit to which
assigned or attached for: supply, food service, finance,
combat health support, maintenance, chaplain, and
administrative services.

     f.  Functions and Requirements.
         (1) Functions.  This section functions as
augmentation to the NBC element and provides the equivalent
of one shift (12 hours) NBC operational control capability.

         (2) MARC deviations.  None.

         (3) Other personnel requirements not covered

   g. Mobility.

      (1) This unit is capable of transporting 2500 pounds
(104.0 cubic feet) of TOE equipment with authorized organic
vehicles.

      (2) This unit has 565 pounds (43.0 cubic feet) of
TOE equipment requiring transportation.

      (3) This unit requires 100% mobility.

2. Administrative Information.

   a. Personnel.

     (1) MARC code:  22A.  This is a combat support
unit that operates in the corps area.  It is mobile
and moves as necessary to accomplish its mission.
