    1.  MISSION.  PROVIDES NUCLEAR, BIOLOGICAL, AND CHEMICAL
    EQUIPMENT DECONTAMINATION, RECONNAISSANCE FOR THE CONSERVATIVE
    HEAVY DIVISION.

    2.  ASSIGNMENT.  TO THE CHEMICAL BATTALION, CORPS, TOE
    03476F100.

    3.  CAPABILITIES.

        A.  THIS UNIT:

            (1)  PERFORMS NBC RECONNAISSANCE AND DECONTAMINATION
    MISSIONS SIMULTANEOUSLY.  RECONNAISSANCE AND DECONTAMINATION
    ELEMENTS ARE DEDICATED TO THEIR RESPECTIVE MISSIONS.

            (2)  OPERATES TWO THOROUGH EQUIPMENT AND AIRCRAFT
    DECONTAMINATION SITES (DEDS/DADS) CAPABLE OF DECONTAMINATING
    UP TO 32 VEHICLES PER HOUR COMBINED.

            (3)  CONDUCTS ROUTE, ZONE, AREA, POINT, BYPASS, AND
    NAMED AREA OF INTEREST (NAI) NBC RECONNAISSANCE.  HABITUALLY
    OPERATES IN THE DIVISION AREA.

        B.  THE COLUMNS UNDER LEVELS 2 AND 3 ADAPT THIS TOE TO
    REDUCED OPERATIONAL CAPABILITIES IN DECREMENTS OF 10%, FROM
    APPROXIMATELY 90% FOR LEVEL 2, TO APPROXIMATELY 80% FOR LEVEL 3.

        C.  THIS UNIT IS NOT ADAPTABLE TO TYPE B ORGANIZATION.

        D.  INDIVIDUALS OF THIS UNIT CAN ASSIST IN THE
    COORDINATED DEFENSE OF THE UNIT'S AREA OR INSTALLATION.

        E.  THIS UNIT PERFORMS UNIT MAINTENANCE ON ALL ORGANIC
    EQUIPMENT.

        F.  THIS UNIT IS DEPENDENT UPON:

            (1)  THE SUPPORTED UNIT FOR 17 (DEDS) AND 32 (DADS)
    ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL TO SUPPLEMENT EACH (DED) EQUIPMENT
    DECONTAMINATION SITE AND EACH (DAD) AIRCRAFT
    DECONTAMINATION SITE RESPECTIVELY.

            (2)  APPROPRIATE ELEMENTS OF DIVISION OR CORPS FOR
    HEALTH, RELIGIOUS, LEGAL, LOGISTICAL, FINANCE, PERSONNEL
    AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES.

    4.  BASIS OF ALLOCATION.  ONE PER CONSERVATIVE HEAVY
    DIVISION.

    5.  CATEGORY.  THIS UNIT IS DESIGNATED A CATEGORY II UNIT.

    6.  MOBILITY.

        A.  THIS UNIT IS CAPABLE OF TRANSPORTING 221,492
    POUNDS (10,525 CUBIC FEET) OF TOE EQUIPMENT WITH
    ORGANIC VEHICLES.

        B.  THIS UNIT HAS 46,338 POUNDS (4,897 CUBIC FEET)
    OF EQUIPMENT REQUIRING TRANSPORTATION.

        C.  THIS UNIT REQUIRES 100 PERCENT OF ITS TOE EQUIPMENT
    AND SUPPLIES TO BE TRANSPORTED IN A SINGLE LIFT USING

        e.  Major Changes.

The MARC Code for this TOE is 21A in accordance with AR 570-2,
Table 3-2. This is a Combat Support unit in support of the
Conservative Heavy Division, and habitually operates forward
of the Division rear boundry.  Organization is considered mobile
and normally maneuvers/moves.


      2.  MISSION/CAPABILITIES/SECTION I.

and limitations of this organization and its subordinate units.


      3.  ASSIGNMENT.  Assigned to the Chemical Battalion, TOE
03476F100.


      4.  PERSONNEL.

        a.  The level 1 strength for the Base and Objective TOE,

        (1)  New Force XXI TOE in support of Conservative Heavy
Division.

        (2)  This TOE is a new creation and applies concepts,
manpower requirements criteria, and F-edition developmental
procedures.

        (3)  This version of the TOE has been prepared in
accordance with the provisions of current F-TOE development
regulations and guidance.

        (4)  All equipment readiness codes (ERCs) in this TOE
have been reviewed to ensure strict compliance with criteria in
AR 220-1, Unit Status Reporting.  They also have been reviewed
to ensure they are aligned at the paragraph level of detail.

        (5)  The unit MARC Code is 21A in accordance with AR 570-2.
