                        EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

1. PURPOSE. The attached A-edition tables of organization and
equipment (TOE) are the result of implementation of guidance from
the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) approval of the
Aviation Restructure Initiative (ARI). The ARI reorganizes all
U.S. Army aviation units. The goals are to reduce the number of
older aircraft from the fleet and document unconstrained manpower
requirements in all organizations. These DTOE document the
organizational structure, along with manpower and equipment
requirements, for a Division/Corps Attack Battalion (AH-1), Corps
Division/Corps Aviation Brigade. This TOE replaces 01386A100 as
the Div/Corps Attack Battalion. This Attack Battalion contains
the following TOE:

          TOE TITLE
          --- -----

      01385A100 Attack Battalion (AH-1)
      01386A100 Headquarters & Headquarters Company
      01387A100 x 3 Attack Company (AH-1)
01389A100 Avn Unit Maint Co (AH-1)

These TOE reflect approved doctrine and the latest information
concerning changes in operational concepts, operational
requirements documents (ORD), and related basis-of-issue plans
(BOIP).

2. MISSION/CAPABILITIES/SECTION I.

    a. Performs aerial firepower operations.

    b. Performs aviation unit maintenance on assigned aircraft

on organic equipment.

    c. See the appropriate TOE Section I for a complete list of
capabilities and limitations of these units.

3. ASSIGNMENT. Organic to the Division Aviation Brigade,
TOE 01200A and 01300A, or Corps Aviation Brigade, TOE 01480A.

4. PERSONNEL.

    a. Personnel strength for this organization is as follows:
