AT LEVEL 1, THIS UNIT: (1) PROVIDES ATTACK HELICOPTER UNITS FOR RAPID EMPLOYMENT AS A PART OF THE COMBINED ARMS TEAM TO DESTROY ENEMY FORCES. (2) MOVES PERSONNEL, SUPPLIES, AND EQUIPMENT WITH AVIATION ASSETS IN SUPPORT OF DIVISION OPERATIONS. (3) PROVIDES COMMAND AND CONTROL AIRCRAFT SUPPORT TO THE DIVISION. (4) PROVIDES GROUND RECONNAISSANCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND SECURITY OPERATIONS IN SUPPORT OF THE DIVISION. (5) PROVIDES AIRBORNE COMMUNICAIONS INTERCEPT, LOCATION, AND JAMMING SUPPORT FOR THE DIVISION. (6) PROVIDES AIR ASSAULT, REINFORCEMENT BY FIRE, AND AERIAL FIRE SUPPORT. (7) PROVIDES AERIAL RECONNAISSANCE, SECURITY INTELLIGENCE, ELECTRONIC WARFARE CAPABILITY. (8) CONDUCTS SERVICE OPERATIONS IN ALL WEATHER CONDITIONS DAY OR NIGHT. (9) CONDUCTS OPERATIONS FOR DEEP BATTLE PENETRATION. B.
